Sound Imaginings

Sound Imaginings is immersive experience that allows users to experience museum exhibits from a distance. It uses technology called bone conduction to create a soundscape tailored to the exhibit.

Sound Imaginings was designed as a way for people on the autistic spectrum to distance themselves from distressing situations, like overcrowded rooms or a loud areas, but still enjoy exhibits from afar. Bone conduction uses vibrations to transmit sounds through bones instead of air, creating a personal soundscape for the visitor. My team and I designed the audio experiences, symbols, branding, and wayfinding.
