Eye Magazine Study
Eye Magazine is a graphic design publication focused on providing engaging, quality content to professional, student, and amateur graphic designers. I did a study of the publication's 90th issue and corresponding website that examined the design principles, layout and grid structures, and type hierarchy of Eye Magazine.
This study was conducted by myself and Sarah Hardison. We collaborated on both the research and the design. The front cover of the study publication was designed by myself and directly inspired by the cover of Eye's 90th issue. I designed the first, second, and third spreads and composed the second page of the fourth spread. The goal of the study was to understand and quantify Eye Magazine's design and to express our findings using those design principles.
